Mission

The mission of Empowering Haiti is to provide the people of Haiti with quality health care, nutrition, and economic development programs. We do this with a Haitian-led staff and community-based initiatives that lead to self-sustaining communities.

VISION

Provide the resources needed to create a self-sustaining culture of pride and hope within the Haitian community.

Future Aspirations

Empowering Haiti is continuously working to improve our programs and facilities. Here are a few of our major projects.

1. Build a new health care clinic! Our current building was originally constructed to be a storage shed. The demand was so high that we began our medical practice right away. We have grown tremendously and are ready to build a larger, more inclusive space.

2. We need a sanitation system! Many of our patients come in with issues caused by lack of sanitation such as water and sewer. We currently have a well, but to install running water, solar systems, and refrigerators would make a world of difference for our patients.

3. The clinic is in need of a safety parameter. Our land is very open and attracts many animals. We are hoping to fence in our facilities to keep a clean and safe environment for our patients.

4. Initiate new health care programs, which include prenatal and delivery care, diabetes and hypertension programs, an immunization program, and an infant care facility for at-risk babies and malnourished children.
